Nine art prints by Marga Baigorria

Inspired by Beethoven's Music

‘Painted with Light’ is a tribute by Marga Baigorria to the Ascona Music Festival 2021.
Vibrating with poetic creativity, these images whisper luminous landscapes and beings of beauty.
Born from music, they resonate like music.

A Tribute to Beauty

These nine works of art pay homage to Beethoven. They were created while listening to Beethoven’s music and inspired by a fusion of sculptural works and paintings from the past.

Baigorria’s transparencies of chromatic light create a unity that reflects the ineffable effect that arises from deep listening, as a message to the intuition for those who perceive the visual beauty that arises from acute acoustic perception.

It is Beethoven’s music that provides the impetus for such special homage. It is through his music that we both hear and see the ultimate source, the inspiration of a Muse.

Baigorria follows her “impulse to express – with multicoloured lights of pure crystals, with water and the sun – those marvels that the eyes do not see. Then I let the heart choose the shape that is being revealed as soon as the sunlight shows the contours in the matter. In those moments, thoughts, feelings and aspirations let us discover what we do not see.”
