Beethoven Webinar

BEETHOVEN - The Ear of Humanity

Inspiration, Life and Words

Webinar held by pianist Daniel Levy dedicated to the genius from Bonn

4 LESSONS: From 7th OCTOBER 2020

A special Webinar created and conducted by Daniel Levy in his role as musician, educator and pianist, entirely dedicated to Beethoven's work and philosophical thoughts as the 'ear of humanity'.
This course, which is a tribute to the genius from Bonn, will reflect and share Daniel Levy’s experiences - gained in a life entirely devoted to Music - of Beethoven’s works and inner world, gained through constant meditation, study and interpretations from hundreds of concerts as a soloist and as part of chamber music ensembles.
A deep and original approach to the soul and inspiration of the composer, sharing with great devotion and closeness his expressions and everyday ideas, which being inseparable from his creations, transmit an exhilarating humanity and relevance as an archetype and example, while infusing in us, with every note and melody, sonorous antibodies to fight against the dehumanisation that we experience in the world today.
Many materials will be offered, some as important as they are forgotten, collected over decades of life experience gained in music. Levy will be illustrating each lesson from the piano, thus allowing each participant to treasure unforgettable moments. He will suggest what he believes to be the masterful and transcendent versions of Beethoven's works: symphonies, concerts, sonatas and quartets, in order to develop a formidable listening guide.
This Webinar is aimed at everyone, without exception. There are no requirements nor need for prior knowledge of music history or an instrument and music theory. It is dedicated to all the curious, professional and otherwise, to all the people who feel and desire a sincere and direct, non-musicological approximation to Beethoven, the hero of European music, always alive as we celebrate 250 years of his birth.

DANIEL LEVY & ALICE HERZ-SOMMER

Alice was the oldest holocaust survivor and sadly passed away in 2014.
She adored Beethoven’s music and Daniel Levy had the privilege to play Beethoven for her when she was 108 years old.
