Ester Snider

PIANIST

Ester Snider was born in 1985 in Domodossola, Italy, in the province of Verbania. In 2005, after graduating from the piano class of Maestro Leonardo Leonardi at the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan, she completed a two-year specialization with the highest marks under the guidance of Prof. Maria Isabella De Carli. During her studies, she built on her pedagogical training obtaining her diploma in Music Education with the highest marks and honors in 2007 and in 2008, her Second-Level Academic Diploma with a qualification in instrumental music.

She has participated in Masterclasses given by Paolo Bordoni, Bruno Canino, Alessandro Maffei and Federica Righini.

She was the first-prize recipient at the “City of San Mauro Torinese” Competition, the “City of Moncalieri” Competition and the “Borromee Islands”, Arenzano and “Valsesia Musica” international competitions, all the while remaining an active soloist and chamber musician with numerous ensembles. She participated in the "Young Talents in Concert" festival at the Antonianum Cultural Center of Milan, the “Lingotto Musica” Association concert series in Turin, the "De Sono" Association concert series at the Turin Conservatory and the "Concerts in the Cloister " series organized by the " G. Verdi " Conservatory of Milan. In addition, she also performed for the “Concert Society” of “Puccini” Hall at the Milan Conservatory, the “Amadeus” Foundation and the “Friends of La Scala Theater Gallery” Foundation of Milan. In November of 2009, she was a featured guest on Radio Classica’s program “The Pianist”.

Ester has four recording projects to date: “Duo Recital” from 2013 with the flautist Marco Rainelli, “Johannes Brahms – Sonatas for clarinet and piano, Op. 120” from 2015 with the clarinettist Simone Margaroli, “Parlo d’Amor Con Me” from 2017, in duo with the singer Antonella Montrasio and “French Flute Favourites” from 2018, with the flautist Marco Rainelli for Barnum For Art Record Label.

From 2008-2011 she was the spokesperson for the “Educhiamo alla musica” and “Conoscere gli strumenti musicali” (“Know your musical instruments”) projects organized by the Milan Conservatory in collaboration with the City of Milan for the city’s elementary schools.

Specializing in piano accompaniment for ballet and contemporary dance, in 2014 she received the highest marks and honors upon completion of the Second-Level two-year course in Master Collaborator of Dance at the “A. Casella” Conservatory in L’Aquila, in accordance with the National Dance Academy of Rome. She held the position of accompanying Pianist and Lecturer on Musical Theory and Practice for Dance at the “Pina Bausch” High School of Music and Dance in Busto Arsizio (province of Varese). In addition, she was the accompanying pianist for the Professional Ballet course at the Academy of La Scala Theater of Milan. In November 2015, she began her teaching post as a piano instructor for the middle school of the “G. Bertacchi” Comprehensive Institute in Busto Arsizio and is now a permanent lecturer.
